Demolition & Site Clearance

Safe, compliant, programme driven demolition, nationwide

Overview

Demolition is the first activity on most programmes, and often the one that causes the biggest delays. Late starts, unexpected asbestos, immovable materials, unplanned neighbour issues and weak documentation can all add weeks to a project.

“Late starts, unexpected asbestos, material that cannot be moved… Every one of those turns into weeks.”

We deliver safe, compliant, programme driven demolition and full site clearance, from single structures to complete industrial and commercial sites. You receive a cleared, level plot and the documentation that proves how the work was carried out.

01

What we deliver

  • Industrial demolition: Factories, warehouses, mills, workshops and redundant plant.
  • Commercial demolition: Retail units, offices, hotels, pubs, garages and vacant premises.
  • Structural demolition: Partial demolition, façade retention, structural alterations and work on occupied buildings.
  • Agricultural buildings: Barns, grain stores, livestock buildings, silos and cement sheeted structures.
  • Soft strip: Internal strip out back to shell for refurbishment or demolition.
  • Site clearance: Slabs, foundations, hardstanding, redundant services and boundary structures.
  • Groundworks: Breaking out, levelling, backfill and imported fill to prepare the plot for the next phase.
02

Safety & compliance

Demolition carries the highest risk profile in construction. Incidents almost always trace back to poor surveys, incorrect sequencing, late asbestos discovery or unverified services.

Insufficient survey work… asbestos found late… services that were assumed to be dead.

We remove those risks by ensuring:

  • Full survey and structural appraisal before work begins
  • Asbestos surveys completed and acted on early
  • Services traced, isolated and confirmed dead in writing
  • Job specific method statements and risk assessments
  • Planned demolition sequencing
  • Management of party walls, neighbours, footpaths, dust, noise and vibration
03

Asbestos management

Most pre 2000 buildings contain asbestos, and it is the most common cause of demolition delays.

Finding it early costs money. Finding it late costs money and time…

We arrange surveys before work starts and carry out licensed, non licensed and notifiable non licensed removal under correct controls. All asbestos waste is consigned to permitted facilities with full documentation.

04

Material management & recycling

Material handling determines cost efficiency. Many demolition arisings have value, but only if they're recovered rather than mixed.

  • On site crushing and screening of concrete, brick and hardcore
  • Reuse of processed material as fill, piling mat or sub base
  • Segregation and recovery of steel and metals
  • Correct classification and disposal of non reusable waste
05

Single building or full site

Every tonne processed on site is a tonne you are not paying to remove…

We handle everything from one redundant structure to phased industrial clearance. For larger programmes, we coordinate with following trades and provide a single point of contact who knows the job.

Because we also supply aggregates, run muck away and manage contaminated ground, all material flows sit with one supplier. Nationwide coverage ensures consistent standards, documentation and pricing across all regions.
